Shark is a monstrous creature and they are available in 380 species with different sizes, color, shapes. Here, we are going to study 10 species that listed on category 10 biggest sharks in the world. The fist one on the list is of course the smallest one.
10. Bigeye Thresher Shark (Alopias superciliosus)
Bigeye Thresher is a tropical predator that surfs in the deep of ocean between 1650 feet and 2000 feet. The common color of the fish is purplish grey. It can grow up to 15,1 feet in length and 795 pounds in weight.
9. Bluntnose Sixgill Shark (Hexanchus griseus)
The ninth largest shark in the world is nicknamed Cow Shark. It is one of the members of nearly extinct species Hexanchidae. The common color of the shark is tan, brown to dark. Adult Bluntnose Sixgill Shark is average 15,8 feet long
8. Thresher Shark
Thresher Shark is another tropical shark in the world. The eight biggest sharks can grow up to 18 feet long. They are slender and could reach 1100 pound in weight after mature. They are known as non-attacker shark.
7. Great Hammerhead Shark (Sphyma mokarran)
Great Hammerhead is a unique species that lives around tropical waters. After they are mature, hammerhead can weight up to 1200 pound and could be 20 feet long. Although they are non-aggressive to human, they are not a polite creature either.
6. Greenland Shark (Somniosus microcephalus)
Same as the name Greenland shark is the inhabitant of Greenland ocean and North Atlantic. They are living at the depth 24 feet-6600 feet. The shark can grow up to 21 feet and living up to 20 decades, just like a turtle. Scientist classifies Greenland as one of the oldest living vertebrate on earth.
5. Pacific Sleeper Shark ( Somniosus pacificus)
Pacific Sleeper Shark is a 23 feet long shark when they are mature. They can weight up to 800 pounds on an appropriate environment. They are cold shark and their home is around polar ocean. They are hunting around 6500 feet below the water and in winter, they have tradition to move southward.
4. Tiger Shark (Galeocerdo cuvier)
Tiger shark is the inhabitant of Pacific Ocean. They are known to be an aggressive fish and swimmers attacker. Tiger shark can grow up to 24,3 feet or longer and weight up to 2,000 pounds. Those weight means huge power.
3. Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias)
Great white shark is the jumbo version of Tiger shark. They are aggressive and can grow bigger and heavier than Tiger shark. In average, adult great white shark is 26,2 feet and 5000 lbs. Their habitat is around pacific basin and they are often considered as the boss of tiger shark.
2. Basking Shark (Cetorhinus maximus)
Basking Shark is known as the 2nd biggest shark in the world but they are not categorized as one of the attacker. Instead of eating another fish or human, they are eating feeders. It can grow up to 40 feet long and 19 tons. In the depth of the ocean, they almost have no predators.

Whale shark is our last one. They are the biggest shark in the world and one of the species on earth that has no predators. They can grow up to 41 feet and 15 tons. Their home is in tropical waters and they can live up to 70 years.
